Infants enrolled in this program adhere to their own individual schedule throughout the day. Information provided by the parents is used to plan each child’s day according to their specific needs. As a result, feeding, diapering, and napping are each an integral part of the daily curriculum. With simple games like peek-a-boo, our teachers begin the foundational work for later learning and help infants develop motor skills.
Young toddlers are enthusiastic little learners with lots of new things to explore. We specialize in channeling all that energy into things that help them learn and grow. At BFTS we lead young toddlers through age-appropriate activities to improve coordination, increase verbal skills and learn to problem solve. We understand that children are naturally curious and motivated to learn, that’s why we provide them with the materials and experiences to help them understand and communicate in ways most meaningful to them.
The older children are, the more curious they become. Our teachers encourage a child’s natural curiosity and willingness to try new things, so children discover the ways that they learn best. Through playing “make believe”, using learning games, and utilizing hands-on activities we keep children engaged in learning. Because learning how to relate to others is important, we do large and small group activities every day. So in addition to basic skills, your child learns to enjoy self-direction, self-reliance, and self-esteem.
This is the age where children begin to truly discover their talents, as well as, dream up new ideas and begin to problem-solve. They learn about the world around them as they take things apart, put them together, and ask lots and lots of questions. At BFTS, we believe that all children are capable and talented, and that they learn best when they learn in their own ways. So we help them discover and develop their own talents. With gentle guidance our teachers give them the tools they need to explore and learn within a comfortable, secure environment.
Preschoolers are like sponges - they soak up knowledge. Pre-school is the beginning of structured learning when social, verbal, cognitive and physical skills are built. At BFTS we understand that these skills are developed through activities that engage children. Learning can be accomplished in everyday tasks - counting out cookies for snack, identifying the first letter of each child’s name, or cooperating to construct a block castle. In pre-school your child will learn everything they need to be prepared for kindergarten and beyond. Our teachers covet this new learning by creating an environment free from the fear of mistakes and failures.
This is a time where your child is particularly delighted to learn; there is the building excitement of moving up to kindergarten. We want your child to stay excited about learning so while we increase the focus on math, science, language and social studies, we make sure it’s presented with a big dose of fun. With the use of our superb curriculum your child will develop the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they’ll need to succeed in kindergarten, as well as, in life. Teacher plan lessons to deepen understanding of basic academic concepts through exploration, investigation and play. We provide a place where children can challenge themselves and enjoy the thrill of discovery as they look forward to school.
